The BACnet Explorer offers full, plug-and-play BACnet exploration capabilities for BACnet/IP, BACnet Ethernet, and BACnet MS/TP networks. The Explorer allows the user to discover, test, and diagnose BACnet networks and devices without the need to load drivers and install external RS-485 hardware. It is accessible from a PC, Mac, tablet, or smartphone via a web-based interface resident on the FieldServer.

The BACnet Explorer supports simultaneous access for multiple users without having to purchase additional software licenses per user. In addition to implementing standard Explorer functions, the BACnet Explorer includes BBMD functionality as a standard feature, allowing all BACnet BBMD networks to be viewed for testing and diagnosis. For testing BACnet devices, it is possible to write to devices via the BACnet Explorer.

The BACnet Explorer features a simple, single-page web-based configuration to optimize BACnet network analysis. It also allows the integrator to discover all BACnet devices connected to the Explorer (including BACnet MS/TP) by pressing a single button, greatly simplifying the BACnet network and device discovery process.
