The IEC62056-21 MBC gateway with Auto Baud Changer is designed for use with IEC meters. Meters supporting IEC62056-21 have a baud rate change during transmission which can be difficult to monitor via remote modems. The MBC series IEC62056-21 protocol Auto Baud Changer makes this implementation possible and simple. It detects the protocol transferred from the modem side to the meter side and vice versa and automatically changes the baud rate according to the protocol definition during transmission. For example, it can be used to remotely read meters via an optical probe.
