Offering the flexibility of 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet support via the RJ45 port and highly stable Gigabit fiber performance, the PLANET GT-802, GT-802S, GT-802S40, GT-806S60, GT-805A and GT-806A/B media converters support conversion between 10/100/1000BASE-T and 1000BASE-SX/LX networks. SC/SFP/WDM connectors are available with single-mode or multi-mode support depending on your needs. The Ethernet signal makes it easy to connect three types of segments in an efficient and cost-effective way.

The PLANET GT-80x Gigabit media converter series extends the communication distance with high-performance Gigabit over fiber optic cable. The GT-80x series provides media conversion between 10/100/1000BASE-T and 1000BASE-SX/LX interfaces for a variety of fiber optic applications.

The GT-80x series makes it easy to connect two types of segments. The GT-80x series can be used as a standalone unit when powered by its own DC adapter, or as a slide-in module inside the PLANET 19-inch 7/15-slot media converter chassis (MC-700/MC-1500/MC-1500R/MC-1500R48). These chassis make it possible to supply power to the GT-80x series so that you can manage and maintain your fiber optic network from a single location. Because the Gigabit media converter is fully compliant with the IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T, IEEE 802.3u 100BASE-TX, IEEE 802.3ab 1000BASE-T and IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-LX/SX standards, installing the Gigabit conversion is extremely quick and easy thanks to Plug and Play functionality. The GT-80x also supports flow control and half-duplex back pressure to eliminate packet loss.
