Teracom TCG140-4E - universal 4G/LTE IO module

TCG140-4 is a universal 4G LTE IO module. It covers LTE Cat.1 communication with an upload speed of up to 5 Mbit. The device also supports 3G and 2G wireless communication and provides data connectivity over LTE-FDD, DC-HSDPA, HSPA+, HSDPA, HSUPA, WCDMA, EDGE, and GPRS networks. This makes it usable virtually anywhere in the world where some type of cellular coverage is available. The universal 4G LTE IO module can operate autonomously but is specifically optimized for M2M and IoT applications. The primary option for M2M communication is the HTTP API. The device supports HTTP and HTTPS Post with XML or JSON files. The module offers a large number of 0 to 10-volt analog inputs and a current loop - 0 to 20 mA inputs. Additionally, the device supports the MODBUS RTU interface for all compatible industrial devices, including all Teracom sensors.

The analog inputs with their standard ranges and the MODBUS RTU interface make it very easy to integrate the unit into industrial applications.
The TCG140-4 is the successor to the popular TCG140. The two modules differ only in technology and communication ranges. The input and output peripherals and digital interfaces are 100% identical. This facilitates migration from the 2G device to the 4G LTE module in locations where 2G services are to be discontinued.
Initial device configuration is done through the graphical interface with a standard browser. In the field, the device can be configured remotely with SMS commands or HTTP API. FW updates for the unit are also possible over the air.
The universal 4G LTE IO module uses a robust metal box with accessories for DIN rail mounting.
