CMT-G02: The communication gateway supports Wi-Fi communication, thus enabling wireless communication.

Integrating various devices for plant automation has never been an easy task, as each system uses a different PLC. Integration with other IT systems can be problematic due to the multitude of communication drivers required. This hinders effective productivity improvement. Take parameter modification, for example: the operator is forced to go to each machine and manually enter the parameters. Furthermore, due to the unavailability of relevant information, potential production problems may not be easily identified, leading to the manufacturing of defective products.
To overcome this problem, the OPC standard was developed in 1995 to facilitate the integration of PLCs from different manufacturers. In 2006, due to the obsolescence of Microsoft®'s COM/DCOM technology, the standard evolved with OPC UA (Unified Architecture), which allows access to various PLCs, regardless of the operating system and platform used. OPC UA has been officially recommended in Germany as the standard for industrial communication 4.0

With MQTT and OPC UA, de facto standard protocols for IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), the cMT-G02 communication gateway can adapt to most applications and integrate real-time data from different devices, thus providing a standard communication interface.

## cMT-G02 Features

- Industrial Wi-Fi: The cMT-G02 supports the 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi standard, which has significant interference resistance. The removable antenna allows the use of other antennas depending on the industrial environment. Wi-Fi configuration can be quickly performed via the gateway's web interface.
- OPC UA parameter modification via web interface: The cMT-G02 web server allows modification of OPC UA communication parameters, adding/modifying/deleting OPC UA nodes and corresponding PLC data, or changing communication parameters with the PLC (Serial or Ethernet).
- Integrated OPC UA: Integrated OPC UA server & client. The OPC UA server is officially certified compliant by the OPC Foundation and allows seamless integration of different machines in any application.
- Integrated MQTT: Integrated MQTT server & client. Supports direct connection with Amazon AWS IoT, which eliminates the need to allocate an MQTT server and allows a reliable and low-cost connection with the Amazon AWS IoT MQTT server.
- Notification and pass-through connection with remote PLCs (EasyAccess 2.0): EasyAccess 2.0 allows secure remote access to PLCs connected to the cMT-G02 for debugging or online program modifications without having to adjust Firewall parameters. With the EasyAccess 2.0 Notification function, the user can receive immediate notification of production anomalies on their smartphone or tablet (iOS/Android).
