EdgeBox-ESP-100 is a lightweight and multifunctional controller. It features various wireless functionalities and multiple field buses, making it an independent PLC for field automation applications, or an industrial gateway to provide the original PLC with the ability to communicate with the network and the cloud.

### Product Description

EdgeBox-ESP-100 is an ESP32-based controller designed for lightweight automation solutions. It supports analog input, effectively monitoring and controlling in a remote environment, ideal for PID control loops, sequential logic control, or gateways with flexible expansion of wireless and field sensors.

In addition to EdgeBox-ESP-100, we also have 2 other Edge products for different solutions in the Edge family, powered by Raspberry Pi. To help you fully understand the differences and choose the most suitable component for your projects, please refer to Seeed Studio's Edge series page.

It offers isolated CAN connections, RS485 field bus, and rich IO resources for extended structures and input sensors, for both digital and analog signals. It is perfectly suited for PLC and field automation applications.

Since it contains on-chip Wi-Fi and BLE functions and also includes a 4G LTE cellular module, EdgeBox-ESP-100 can be used to create an industrial gateway, allowing the original PLC to connect to the network or the cloud.

This portable box features robust hardware, electrical design, and an aluminum alloy enclosure, thanks to which it maintains its operation across a wide temperature range and provides high overvoltage and short-circuit protection, for different implementation methods based on your activity.
