RAK1902: STMicroelectronics LPS22HB Barometric Pressure Sensor

RAK1902 is a WisBlock sensor based on the STMicroelectronics LPS22HB chip that extends the WisBlock system with barometric pressure sensing capabilities. A ready-to-use SW library and a tutorial simplify the creation of a barometric pressure data acquisition system. The RAK1902's pressure range from 260 to 1260 hPa makes it suitable for use in weather forecasting systems. The relative accuracy of ±0.1 hPa is sufficient for most applications.

The RAK1902, paired with the RAK4631 WisBlock Core, is a ready-to-use system for collecting barometric pressure data. The acquired data can be sent via LoRaWan® communication, LoRa® point-to-point connections, and BLE. RAK1902 is ideal for battery-powered applications due to its low power consumption. Additionally, the WisBlock system allows the module to be completely shut down to further reduce system power consumption. The RAK1902 barometric pressure sensor can be combined with other WisBlock sensors, such as a temperature and humidity module, to create a weather station.
