It has been specifically designed for real-world deployments and large-scale production use in smart city, smart agriculture, and industrial IoT scenarios. Unlike typical Raspberry Pi boards designed for prototyping or hobby use, the RAK7393 elevates the Raspberry Pi ecosystem to a professional reliability level (field-level), including FCC/IC/CE/UKCA certifications and an industrial-grade design, all enclosed in an IP67-rated casing. The RAK7393 supports both direct current (DC) power — equipped with an RS485 interface for external power monitoring, such as RAK's *Battery Plus* solutions — and PoE power. The device constantly monitors its own power supply and, thanks to its ultracapacitors, provides a power reserve in case of a blackout.
