WisNode Sense Home LoRaWAN Environmental Sensor 868 Mhz

RAK7204 is a LoRaWAN node with integrated environmental sensors. The high-precision environmental sensors can measure changes in temperature, humidity, gas pressure, and provide an indoor air quality index. All accumulated data can be sent to a LoRaWAN gateway for forwarding to the cloud.

Since RAK7204 is equipped with a low-power MCU and low-power sensors, and the firmware has been optimized for efficiency, it can achieve ultra-low power operation both in dormancy and during measurement and transmission. The non-rechargeable battery supplied with the unit can last for more than 2 years. With the ability to regularly report battery status as well as having an alarm for when critical levels are reached, you can be sure you're never caught off guard and won't leave your device inoperable when you need it most. Furthermore, the design still allows for battery replacement, so even after those 2 years, you can still update the node for another 2 years of operation.

The firmware has built-in features that allow the user to adjust the sensor sampling interval and transmission cycle. This allows for flexibility, as you can choose to make more granular measurements at the cost of battery life or extend operational time by changing the volume of data generated.

Last but not least, the RAK7204 adopts a highly integrated design. The environmental sensors, LoRa transceiver module, LoRa antenna, and battery are mounted in a 90mm x 85mm x 34mm enclosure. These small dimensions allow for installation in confined spaces or in those that require the sensor to have minimal impact on the overall feel of the surrounding environment. The enclosure adopts a hollow and permeable design to facilitate airflow in order to more accurately detect environmental changes.
