TLM Series LoRa Modem and LoRaWAN End-Node Modem

TLM series LoRaWAN EndNode modems can create a link between field devices and the LoRaWAN server.

Field devices with TCP/IP connectivity can be read via Modbus TCP protocol, and data can be sent to the LoRaWAN server. Field devices with RS232/RS485 serial interface can also be read via Modbus RTU protocol, and data can be sent to the LoRaWAN server. Up to 64 Modbus devices in the field can be connected to the LoRaWAN server via TLM series LoRaWAN EndNode modems. The Modbus polling interval and minimum LoRaWAN data sending interval can be easily configured for each query on the TLM web interface, and the user can also configure the Modbus query for each device by selecting address, function code, data address, total number of data, and timeout interval.

LoRaWAN Downlink messages can be used to send custom Modbus commands remotely, allowing control of TCP/IP and RS232/RS485 field devices directly from the LoRaWAN server side. Function codes 1-2-3-4 are supported, and in addition, for remote control, the following are supported: 5: Force Single Coil 6: Preset Single Register

A transparent connection between field devices, applications, and the LoRaWAN server is also available. In this mode, TCP/IP or RS232/RS485 field devices can send data to the LoRaWAN server as is.

TLM series LoRa radio modems allow users to build an efficient and private wireless network infrastructure. These versatile modems bridge the connectivity gap for field devices by supporting both RS232 and RS485 serial communications, as well as Ethernet. Utilizing the LoRa standard, the TLM series ensures reliable, long-range data transfer over a dedicated radio frequency network, offering a robust solution for complex operating environments. The TLM series offers *auto network discovery* functionality to collect signal levels, addresses, and configuration/connection lists of all TLM devices in the same LoRa radio network, thus simplifying installation.
