MB-OT4: 4-CHANNEL MODBUS/OPENTHERM GATEWAY

The 4-channel Modbus – OpenTherm gateway is designed for installation in electrical panels, on a standard DIN rail (2 modules), and is powered by 12 Vdc. The regulation system to which the gateway is connected must use the Modbus RTU protocol (RS-485) with configurable communication parameters (baud rate 9600 or 19200, even or no parity).

The slave address can be configured from 1 to 63.

The gateway is equipped with 4 channels for communication via the OpenTherm protocol with an equal number of generators. All connections are made using removable terminals; furthermore, the connection is opto-isolated towards the generators.

- Plastic enclosure with dimensions 36 mm x 90 mm x 59 mm
- Power supply 12-14 Vdc (direct current)
- RS485 interface for MODBUS Master
- Opto-isolated connection to four heat generators
- MODBUS RTU communication protocol (RS-485), with communication parameters 9600,N,8,1 (no parity) or 19200,E,8,1 (even parity)

The device has been tested and is functional on the following boilers:

- Italtherm
- Paradigm
- JODO (ex ATAG)
- Ferroli (not in economy operation)
- BSG
- Hydrosystems
- Italgas
- Viessmann

It is not functional on Riello boilers.

Functionality on other boiler brands needs to be verified.
