iR-ETN40R: Ethernet Coupler Module with 24 DI and 16 DO

Supporting industrial Ethernet protocols Modbus TCP/IP and EtherNet/IP, the iR-ETN40R is an expandable Ethernet remote I/O module with 24 digital input channels (4 of which are high-speed) and 16 relay output channels. It offers several unique features to support a highly efficient and cost-effective implementation of modern automated control systems.

The iR-ETN40R supports MODBUS TCP Server and EtherNet/IP Adapter protocols and features 24 digital inputs and 16 relay outputs. In addition to the integrated I/Os, the expandable design allows for adding further digital, analog, temperature, or pulse modules as needed. Furthermore, the input and output connectors are push-in type, greatly simplifying installation and wiring operations.

The iR-ETN40R offers 4 high-speed inputs for high-speed applications. These high-speed inputs can be configured for use with high-speed counters (20 kHz, up to 4) or for use with A/B phase encoders (10 kHz, up to 2 sets), depending on the application.

The RunStop Pin function of the iR-ETN40R allows an input to be designated as a RunStop entry point, and when it receives a signal, all outputs are immediately stopped. An example of use could be to associate a stop button with the input, so that all outputs can be deactivated at once by pressing the stop button.

The pulse capture function ensures that a high-speed pulse signal shorter than one scan cycle is retained until the next scan cycle, so no pulses are lost.

The EasyRemoteIO software is used to connect to the iR-ETN40R and generate the necessary description file for I/O configuration. These files can be imported by other devices.
