The Modbus MR-Multi I/O module is a compact and quick-to-install solution for connecting digital and analog signals, from the actuator and sensor level, directly to a Building Automation control unit via Modbus RTU protocol. 29 I/Os are available, some of which are configurable, for different types of tasks. In the presence of high inductive loads, it is recommended to protect the relay contacts with an RC filter. Inputs and outputs can be switched and scanned via standard registers through a Modbus master. The module address, bit rate (speed), and parity are set via two rotary selectors on the front panel or via software. The device is suitable for decentralized mounting on a TH35 DIN rail (according to IEC 60715) inside electrical distribution cabinets.
