WisNode Serial Bridge: Modbus RS485 to LoRaWAN® Bridge - EU868

RAK7431 is a Modbus RS485 to LoRaWAN® bridge designed for industrial applications. The device transmits Modbus data using the LoRaWAN network as a wireless transmission medium to and from end devices.

RAK7431 can operate in all LoRaWAN bands within the standard parameters defined by the LoRa® Alliance. Its range in open environments is 15+ km, and in industrial cases, where heavy obstructions are present in the RF signal path, performance is improved compared to conventional wireless systems due to LoRa's characteristics as a modulation technique. This allows for consistently good signal quality within the confines of large factories, densely populated offices, warehouses, etc.

This RS485-compatible device can address up to 16 client end nodes. The conversion to and from LoRa frames is seamless, allowing for real-time control and monitoring of multiple RS485 devices. Bus data to access and control RS485 end nodes.

RAK7431, together with RAK's LPWAN Gateway and LoRa Server products, can easily and quickly build a wireless industrial field control system. RAK7431 adopts an industrial protection design, supports a wide range of voltage power supply, supports wall mounting and DIN rail installation, facilitating installation and field use.
