Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a colorless and odorless gas, and it is the fourth most abundant gas in the Earth's atmosphere. Its concentration, especially in indoor environments, is essential for the health and well-being of the people who live in them.

The TSM400-4-CPTH is a multisensor that supports the Modbus RTU protocol via RS-485 interface. The device measures the concentration of CO2, humidity, temperature, and barometric pressure.

For CO2 measurements, the Modbus sensor integrates an advanced non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detection element—currently the most widely used technology for this type of measurement. The principle is based on the absorption of infrared (IR) light at specific wavelengths by the CO2 molecules. The CO2 detection element is temperature-compensated to ensure higher accuracy and is equipped with an auto-calibration function, which is activated by leaving the sensor exposed to clean air (with a CO2 concentration of about 400 ppm).

The basic sensors for humidity, temperature, and barometric pressure are calibrated at the factory and do not require any recalibration over time. The TSM400-4-CPTH multisensor for CO2, humidity, and temperature is enclosed in a slim plastic housing. The rear part of the enclosure is designed for installation on standard flush-mount boxes or drywall (plasterboard) wall boxes, with a maximum mounting hole of 61 mm.
