# AVL Tracking on GPSIOT

There are many trackers on the market that allow you to locate your vehicle in case of theft. All these trackers, however, are very simple and only allow you to retrieve the vehicle's position by sending a command via SMS.

Teltonika trackers, on the other hand, are very sophisticated. In addition to having a compact and very resistant shape, making them easy to install even in hidden areas of the vehicle, they can be configured for the most varied applications through the configuration software: from *Eco driving* to *auto-geofence*, from *engine blocking for unauthorized drivers* to *sending alarm SMS* if connected to the car's alarm system.

But the most interesting feature is real-time vehicle monitoring: *position*, *speed*, *engine status*, *fuel level*, *external and engine temperature*, etc. This information is automatically sent by the tracker to a private server that stores the received data and makes it available when you want to consult it.

Configuring the tracker to send data to the server is very simple: it consists of entering the server address (*gpsiot.eu*) and port (*6027*) in the configuration software.

Once this is done, simply register an account on the website [https://gpsiot.eu](https://gpsiot.eu), add a new device (identified by its IMEI code), and you're all set.
