The SOS Bathroom solution proposed by Marcom is based on LoRaWAN wireless technology, a widely used and reliable standard. The system uses a LoRaWAN transmitter for each bathroom, powered by a standard battery. The transmitter can be connected to any bathroom pull cord available on the market with an N.O. (Normally Open) contact output. In addition to the alarm, the transmitter provides the battery level, temperature, and humidity of the bathroom.

The system can easily integrate any new expansion and can also monitor other subsystems, such as lighting, consumption control, roller shutters....

It is the ideal solution for introducing a bathroom alarm control system without having to make any major changes to existing structures to position pull cords or lay cables connecting the various elements of the system. In fact, SOS BATHROOM is entirely based on low-power, long-range wireless communication.

## Technical Features

● Minimum consumption with secure transmissions (transmission with request for reception acknowledgment)

● Transmission range up to 120 m in buildings and up to 1 Km in open environments.

● No external power supply and use of batteries. Replaceable 4000 mAh battery guarantees 5 years of operation

● Easy installation, no wiring: time-consuming installation work, such as wiring or grooving, is no longer necessary.

● Flexibility: LoRaWAN® offers significantly more flexibility in sensor placement. For this reason, even environments with varied designs typical of modern buildings pose no problem.

● Interoperability: in addition to various devices for temperature control, relative humidity, brightness, set point, and current status detection, receivers with LONWORKS® – KNX – Modbus – BACNET or RS485 interface with gateway functionality for higher-level control systems are available.

## System Architecture

A communication module is installed in the bathroom (wall-mounted) and connected to a commercially available bathroom pull cord (from a 503 box or an external box); the alarm telegram is collected by one or more LoRaWAN gateways and sent, over the Ethernet network, to the reception or wherever visualization is required. The possibility of installing multiple reception gateways ensures RF coverage even in the most complicated situations. The data is received by a LINX controller and can be made available as graphic pages for the user on Touch Panels and on PC, Tablet, and Smartphone browsers. The Server can activate a siren or other compatible optical/acoustic indicator both locally on the LINX Controller and remotely, for example at floor level, via the LoRAWAN network.

It is also possible to connect a touch screen panel to the LINX controller to be placed at the reception with graphic visualization of the alarm status and the recording of all events.
