**General**

High transmission security from wire-bound disconnection in contrast to the often-used radio-based disconnection. It transforms the necessary energy to the secondary side and thus does not diminish isolation through additional external power supplies.

**Compatible with USB 2.0**

Bi-directional, half duplex, Master-Slave. Supports Low-Speed (1.5 MBaud) and Full-Speed (12 MBaud) devices. High-speed devices operate in Full-Speed mode.

**Software and Drivers**

No software or drivers are required. The isolator is completely transparent when inserted into the connection.

**Isolation**

- Power isolation: more than 6000 Vdc per second, 4000 Vrms per minute, tested with a working range of 6000 Vdc, 500 Vac. Very suitable for medical devices.
- Transient protection: ±15 kV according to the human body model, ±8 kV acc. to IEC 61000-4-2.

**Overvoltage Protection**

Shutdown of the secondary USB voltage on primary or secondary overload exceeding 500mA. Thermal overload shutdown also.

**Certification**

The ISOUSB-HVD isolator is certified according to EN60601-1:2007, its USB functionality is validated with the USB Gold Tree Interoperability test.

Therefore, it is also the right tool for sensitive applications such as medical technology.

ISOUSB Isolator and 2m USB cable with USB-A connector, USB-B connector. Auxiliary power supply not included, as it is normally not necessary.
