The PowerSens device is a web-based remote monitor and control system. It is a versatile tool that allows the designer and installer to remotely monitor their equipment and site. The unit can be accessed via the network (web and SNMP) to remotely monitor up to 4 voltages, 4 currents, 2 temperatures, and control power to various equipment using the 4 onboard relays. The system is equipped with surge protection to prevent damage from electrical discharges.

Onboard data-logging and graphing functionality allow the user to view the history of various measured parameters. The graphical interface allows the user to control the relays with a mouse click and monitor all measurement parameters in real-time via any web browser. The web interface allows access and control via desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone.

The system allows 2 of the relays to be controlled directly by the temperature sensors. The user can set temperature limits and automatically activate the relays when the measured temperature exceeds the set temperature. This function can be used to control fans, heaters, or other appliances that need to be turned on/off based on a particular internal or external temperature.

The relays have a special feature that allows a device to be turned off and then turned on again after a preset time, with a single click. This is useful for restarting a device, such as a PoE switch, thereby also restarting all devices connected to the switch. The relays are normally closed so they do not draw current in their normal operating mode.

Two of the current measurement ports provide bidirectional current (+/-), showing the direction of current flow. This is useful for monitoring batteries so you can see when the battery is charging and when it is discharging.

Connections are made via removable terminal connectors. This allows for easy troubleshooting and maintenance as the unit can be removed from the system without altering the system wiring.

User-defined labels can be set for each parameter so that, when viewing the web interface or graphs, users can quickly identify the parameter of interest. A real-time clock synchronized with NTP servers on the internet ensures accurate data recording.

Each parameter has programmable +/- offsets to be able to perform field calibration and compensate for signals due to line loss or variations in measuring instruments. This offers unparalleled flexibility as each device can be customized by the customer for their specific needs.
