It offers wireless data connectivity to public HSPA+ networks, combined with support for previous generation telephone services if operating without a UMTS signal. HSPA+ can reach download speeds of 21 Mbps Specifically: Frequency Bands [MHz]: 800/850, 900, 2100 Throughput DL ,UL[Mbps]: 21, 5.76 EDGE: DL up to 296kbps, UL up to 236.8kbps GPRS: DL up to 107kbps, UL up to 85.6kbps *Updated version of RUT104.* RUT500 offers Internet access to PC or PLC networks, without the need for a fixed telephone line. It does not require any software on the PC to function and is able to securely remote your system over the Internet. The ideal solution to overcome the problem of the *digital divide* and bring a fast internet connection to places not yet covered by ADSL technology. It is equipped with DDNS support and therefore allows you a fixed address even if your contract does not provide for it. It is an immediate and highly secure solution (it has a firewall and VPN) to connect remotely to your automation system or your IP camera system. It integrates **4 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports**, one of which can be configured as *WAN Backup*, to provide support and take over in case of ADSL fault or another 3G router. The router introduces important innovations compared to the previous model: in addition to using a brand new component for connecting to the HSPA+ broadband network, the router integrates much faster new hardware and new firmware based on the OpenWRT system. Furthermore, the operating system is accessible and manageable via SSH interface.
