TP-SCPOE-1248 12V Dual Input POE/Solar Battery Charge Controller by Tycon Power Systems

 

Tycon Solar's unique PoE / Solar charge controllers have dual inputs to charge batteries from a PoE source and also a secondary source like solar panels in order to provide redundancy and ensure 100% uptime for critical applications. The solar panel input has priority so that when the sun is shining, grid power consumption is minimized. They have an integrated PoE inserter with DC to DC converter that delivers 48V to the PoE port. They feature comprehensive electronic protections for short circuit, reverse current, overvoltage, overload, and over-discharge.

They have five LED indicators to provide quick visual status if power is being supplied from a PoE source or a solar panel, if the battery is charging, if the load output is enabled, and a warning if the battery is connected with reverse polarity. Solar and battery connections are made via 5 screw terminals for cables up to 10 AWG. PoE input and output are via 2 shielded RJ45 connectors. On the back, there is a secondary output connector with 5 screw terminals for connecting other electronic components to the controller using a cable up to 10 AWG. This secondary output is equal to the battery voltage. The controllers are externally fused with a standard replaceable fuse.
