TP-POE-24G Passive PoE Injector 24V 19W Gigabit

The TP-POE-24G Power over Ethernet power supply offered by Tycon Power is a quality midspan power supply for years of reliable operation even in the most demanding conditions. They accept input data at a shielded RJ45 jack and provide surge-protected data and power output to the shielded RJ45 output jack. They operate by supplying power to the remote device on unused Ethernet pins 4,5 (V+) and 7,8 (V-). For the “R” model, the voltage is reversed: 4,5 (V-) and 7,8 (V+). The Ethernet specification supports distances up to 100m (328ft).

The units are auto-ranging, so they accept AC input from 90VAC to 264VAC (50/60Hz) and provide regulated DC output voltage. They have various protections for overvoltage, short circuit, overload, and surge. Mid-power models have power ratings up to 24W. This model has a 24VDC output with load regulation within 5%. The CI model features a special current sensing LED that changes color when a PoE device is connected to the CAT5/6 cable.

If the remote device does not support Power over Ethernet, a splitter (POE-SPLT-S) is available to split data and DC voltage at the remote device. If the remote device requires reverse voltage, the POE-XOVER cable can be used.
