NT151 Gateway for Industrial Ethernet/Fieldbus/Serial

The netTAP 151 gateway transmits I/O data bidirectionally between two industrial Real-Time Ethernet networks. NetTAP 151 is the ideal solution for plants with homogeneous and heterogeneous networks that need to exchange data across network boundaries. With over 40 different combinations of PROFINET, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, POWERLINK, Sercos, and Open Modbus/TCP protocols, netTAP 151 offers a solution for any conversion.

Integration as a simple I/O device in the primary network makes the converter compatible with any PLC. In the secondary network, netTAP 151 operates as an I/O device or controls the subordinate network as a bus master. The I/O data length can be configured as required for any application. The I/O data of the primary network can be mapped to that of the secondary network and vice versa.

Two Ethernet controllers, each connected to two dual Ethernet ports with an integrated switch, ensure secure network separation. Star, ring, and line network topologies can therefore be implemented without additional peripherals. Both controllers operate independently of each other and exchange only I/O data via a data buffer. The data processing time achieved is less than 10 ms.

Devices can be ordered with or without preloaded firmware and license. Using generic devices reduces inventory costs. Loading the firmware at a later stage makes the devices flexible for additional applications. The USB connector is used to diagnose and commission all devices regardless of the network.
