The ICS-3400T series is designed to connect traditional RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 serial devices with modern Industrial Ethernet and IIoT infrastructures. Beyond traditional Serial-to-Ethernet communication, the ICS-3400T series enables seamless integration between field devices and IP-based networks, helping users extend communication distances while preserving investments in existing serial equipment. It provides an efficient migration path for factories, transportation systems, utilities, and building automation applications, allowing existing assets to connect to digitized industrial environments without replacing current devices or software systems.

The ICS-3400T series expands the capabilities of traditional serial gateways by supporting both MQTT Client functions and an integrated MQTT Broker. It can collect data from PLCs, RTUs, sensors, and industrial controllers via RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 interfaces, convert the information into MQTT messages, and publish them to SCADA systems, MES platforms, cloud services, or third-party MQTT servers. The integrated MQTT Broker also enables local data exchange among connected devices without needing an external broker, simplifying system implementation and providing an efficient solution for Industrial IoT and edge computing applications.
