TIBBO DS1100: RS232 BASIC-programmable serial controller

  

The DS1100 is a compact RS232 Tibbo BASIC/Tibbo C-programmable controller with Ethernet connectivity.

 

The DS1100 comes preconfigured with a fully functional serial-over-IP (SoI) application that transforms the DS1100 into a cost-effective serial-over-IP converter, a.k.a. the device server.

 

As a device server, the DS1100 is compatible with the Tibbo Device Server Toolkit (TDST) for Windows. TDST includes the Virtual Serial Port Driver (VSPD), which allows you to use the DS1100's serial port as a remote COM port on your PC. A Linux version of VSPD is available.

 

Built around the same T2000 ASIC as our "Minimum" module EM500, the DS1100 offers a single-channel RS232 port. The device can be powered through its power jack, pin9 of the DB9 connector (serial port), or a power-over-Ethernet module is available.

 

There are three LEDs on the front of the device: green and red status LEDs, and a yellow Ethernet link LED.

 

Each DS1100 comes with a DIN rail and wall-mounting plates.
