KNX IP BAOS 777 KNX IP universal interface with web server and visualization
KNX IP BAOS 777 KNX IP universal interface with web server and visualization
The KNX IP BAOS 777 is a powerful universal device for KNX installation: thanks to the integrated web server, the device allows visualization and control of buildings, rooms and functions in a standard web browser on a PC or mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. The new, integrated e-mail function allows individual notification of multiple recipients, e.g. in case of status changes or an alarm. The integration of a Date & Time Server (NTP) allows to obtain date and time automatically via the internet and to synchronize the own KNX installation. Extensive time functions allow the realization of a powerful KNX time switch with weekly function. The configuration is done exclusively with the ETS software - an own software or tool is not required. In addition, the device offers the function of a KNX IP interface (KNXnet/IP) for example as a programming interface for the ETS. Developers can access all functions via an API with BAOS RESTful Web Services. This allows the device to be used as an application specific gateway connecting the KNX bus to the existing IP infrastructure. Best in Class: the KNX IP BAOS 777 represents a powerful residential gateway for building control with smallest size and minimal power consumption.
The KNX IP BAOS 777 has an integrated web server that allows access to the visualization and device settings via a web browser. The modern interface of the visualization allows the control of the entire KNX installation divided into the individual rooms and functions. The configuration is done easily and consistently via the parameter dialogs of the ETS. The visualization is generated dynamically and automatically in the device after each download via the bus or via network. No additional tool or app is required. The newly designed user interface of the device (free download of the latest firmware) is not only visually renewed, but offers numerous new functions. For example, alarms are now displayed via the animated function icons as well as via notification icons in the main view of the visualization.
Also new: a filter function allows quick and targeted finding of individual functions and timers in the installation. The data is displayed graphically in the browser and the functions can be operated directly - optimized for use on touch surfaces.
Notifications via e-mail now allow immediate information about the current status and changes in the KNX installation. The easy-to-configure e-mails are sent whenever the value of the selected data point meets the configured condition.
In the web interface the individual e-mail notifications can be shown and hidden to keep a better overview. The current date and time of the device - these can now be set either manually or via an NTP (Network Time Protocol) server. With this feature the whole KNX installation can now be supplied with the manually set or externally synchronized time.
The KNX IP BAOS 777 can be used as an interface to the KNX bus on the telegram level. It is compatible with the KNXnet/IP specification and can be used as a bus interface for the ETS® or other programs supporting KNXnet/IP tunnelling. It supports up to 8 simultaneous connections. The KNX system is based on a special protocol that is difficult to implement for non-KNX devices. With Weinzierl's BAOS architecture, the device maps KNX data to an IT-friendly API (Application Programming Interface). This significantly reduces the effort to connect non-KNX applications such as controllers or visualizations to KNX. The KNX BAOS architecture not only allows access to runtime data, but also to the structure of the KNX installation. All information about rooms of a building as well as the available functions can be read out as metadata by a client. The ETS is used to define the rooms and the functions that should be available to the user. KNX IP BAOS Binary: A binary protocol that is especially suitable for small microcontrollers.
KNX BAOS Web Services (JSON): A URL-based protocol with JSON syntax, compatible with KNX IP BAOS 771 / 772.
KNX BAOS RESTful Web Services (JSON): A URL-based protocol with RESTful JSON syntax that can be integrated in browser-based web applications.
The device also provides time and recording functions available via the BAOS protocol.
The KNX IP BAOS 777 can be used as an application-specific gateway for connection to non-KNX systems. It can be used for example to integrate heating systems or audio application with ETS integration into the KNX system. For the development the generic ETS product entry is available, which offers up to 2 000 data points as a flat list (download generic database). The data point types can be configured individually via ETS parameters. Of course, own ETS product entries can be developed. For the use of the KNX IP BAOS 777 as residential gateway as well as for the development of application-specific solutions the BAOS protocol has to be implemented in the client. For fast and easy integration of the BAOS Binary Services into own projects a free SDK is available. More information about the BAOS SDK and the free download can be found here. A generic ETS entry is available for all Weinzierl BAOS modules and devices. It contains a list of all available data points. You can select a data point type and enter a name for each data point. In addition, the Weinzierl BAOS CSV Importer now provides a so-called DCA (Device Control App). The Weinzierl BAOS CSV Importer is available for all Weinzierl BAOS devices with a generic ETS product database and is an easy way to export the existing configuration of a generic BAOS database into a CSV file and to import it again in another project. Thus a tedious configuration by hand is saved. The Weinzierl BAOS CSV Importer is available online as a free download in the KNX Association's online store under Shop / ETS Apps (creation of a user account is required). After adding to the shopping cart and checking out, you will receive the download link for the Weinzierl BAOS CSV Importer displayed under "My account / Products" within a short time. You can also download the Weinzierl BAOS CSV Importer directly here. Please note: the Weinzierl BAOS CSV Importer requires a commercial license of ETS 5.5 or higher.
