DMX512 is a standard developed in the late 80 of the Directive of the American Institute of Theatre Technology for communication between the console and dimmer.
For detailed information on the standard DMX512

The DMX512-gateway Modbus Slave is able to connect up to 32 DMX-compatible devices.

You can define up to 4 addresses for each colour lamp.
It is available with Ethernet interface on the Modbus side.
It is directly mountable on a DIN rail.
