The ProtoAir wireless gateway is an IIoT gateway for exterior building automation, high performance, low cost and for industrial control for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) that provides connectivity to manufacturers in the cloud and instantaneous multiprotocol implementation field protocols, created new or legacy devices to easily interface with other protocols. With the ability to connect devices to the cloud via wireless and cellular connections and automatically support multiple noted controller profiles, ProtoAir is the immediate response to OEM customer needs and IIoT requirements. Multi-protocol translation The ProtoAir wireless gateway offers OEMs the ability to perform standard protocol translation between devices on a wireless network when wired networks are unavailable or difficult to access via Wi-Fi and cellular. This will allow access between devices or device networks to management systems or the cloud for management, control and diagnostics of remote devices. As a member of the well-known FieldServer IIoT gateway and router family, ProtoAir offers all the advantages of the FieldServer family, such as flexibility with the world's largest library of over 140 protocols and low installation and operating costs. ProtoAir is able to connect to one or more FieldServer standard drivers via the serial or Ethernet port, connectivity to different devices and networks wirelessly. Local applications and modern configuration Like all FieldServer gateways and routers, ProtoAir has an application engine that hosts local applications for configuration, monitoring, recording, security, diagnostics and updates. Any PC connected to the same LAN or WAN as ProtoAir can launch these applications on any browser at any time. In addition, ProtoAir can also act as a Wi-Fi access point. Any mobile device such as a smartphone can connect directly to the self-created network of the ProtoAir without the need to be on an existing LAN or WAN. This allows any user with just one smartphone to perform an easy setup from anywhere within the facility. Connect to the cloud Discover the benefits of cloud connectivity via the cloud of your FieldPoP ™ device. ProtoAir is FieldPoP enabled, which means that all ProtoAirs can be registered on FieldPoP, the cloud of the Sierra Monitor device for IIoT. FieldPoP's web interface allows users to securely remotely access applications available locally on the registered ProtoAir. The FS-GUI, the application for checking the status and diagnostics of a FieldServer product, is the standard application supplied with each ProtoAir. To be truly connected to the cloud and equipped with IIoT, users can work with us to develop customized applications. Custom applications include: System View, which gives users the ability to view all connected devices and drill down for more information. History, which allows users to select device data for timestamping, archiving and viewing on a graphic display. Event Logger, which offers users a complete list of events, such as alarm notifications from devices. These applications offer configuration, monitoring, logging, security, diagnostics and updates. In addition, third party applications can use the REST API to collect and stream ProtoAir data points from FieldPoP.
