CMT-G02: IIOT Communication Gateway

The integration of various devices for the automation of a plant has never been an easy task since every system uses a different PLC, the integration with other IT systems can be a problem because of the multiplicity of drivers necessary communication. This hinders an effective productivity improvement. Take for example the modification of the parameters: the operator is obliged to go to each machine and manually enter the parameters. Among other things, due to the unavailability of relevant information, potential production problems may not be easily identified and therefore cause the manufacture of defective products.
To overcome this problem in 1995 the OPC standard was developed in order to facilitate the integration of PLCs of different houses. In 2006, with the obsolescence of Microsoft® COM / DCOM technology, the standard has evolved thanks to OPC UA (Unified Architecture), which allows access to several PLCs, beyond the operating system and the platform used. . OPC UA has in fact been officially recommended in Germany as a standard for industrial communication 4.0

With MQTT and OPC UA, de facto standard protocols of the IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things), the cMT-G02 communication gateway can adapt to most applications and integrate real-time data from different devices, so as to provide an interface of standard communication.

Characteristics of the cMT-G02

• Industrial Wi-Fi: The cMT-G02 supports the 802.11b / g / n Wi-Fi standard, which is highly resistant to interference. The removable antenna allows you to use other antennas depending on the industrial environment. The configuration of the Wi-Fi can be done quickly via the web interface of the gateway.
• Modifying the OPC UA parameterization via the web interface: The cMT-G02 web server allows you to change the OPC UA communication parameters, to add / modify / delete OPC UA nodes and the corresponding PLC data, or to change the communication parameters with the PLC (Serial or Ethernet).
• Integrated OPC UA: OPC UA integrated server & client. The OPC UA server is officially certified by the OPC Foundation and allows seamless integration of different machines in each application.
• Integrated MQTT: MQTT server & integrated client. It supports direct connection with Amazon Aws IoT, which eliminates the need to allocate an MQTT server and allows a reliable and low-cost connection with the Amazon AWS IoT MQTT server.
• Remote pass-through notification and connection with PLCs (EasyAccess 2.0): EasyAccess 2.0 allows safe and remote access to PLCs connected to the cMT-G02 to perform a program debugging or modification without having to adjust the Firewall parameters. With the EasyAccess 2.0 notification function, the user can receive an immediate notification of production anomalies on his smartphone or tablet (iOS / Android).
