M-Bus 800 es una serie de gateways/convertidores diseñada para la lectura remota de dispositivos M-Bus utilizando la red local o Internet. El 810 tiene conectores frontales tanto para comunicación Ethernet como para comunicación serial.

El gateway 810 está diseñado para leer de forma transparente todo tipo de dispositivos M-Bus estándar utilizando Ethernet TCP o UDP.
 El gateway traduce las señales eléctricas de M-Bus a Ethernet.
 Los mensajes M-Bus son leídos por software estándar, por ejemplo, sistemas SCADA, programas de lectura remota, programas de configuración, bases de datos, etc.
 
 Se incluye un controlador para la redirección del puerto COM. Transforma el puerto serial del M-Bus 810 en un puerto COM virtual en el ordenador.
 Esto significa que la mayoría de los programas M-Bus del mercado pueden utilizarse independientemente de si tienen o no soporte para red Ethernet.
 El M-Bus 810 está disponible en tres versiones diferentes: como maestro de 5, 20 o 60 dispositivos. Esto se debe a que es capaz de alimentar directamente los dispositivos conectados a la red M-Bus.
 
 Hay cuatro terminales M-Bus en paralelo que utilizan la misma interfaz física.
 
 Con el dispositivo se proporciona un software de configuración que también permite operaciones de configuración en los dispositivos M-Bus, como, por ejemplo, el cambio de dirección del dispositivo.
