EDS-405A-PN sono progettati per PROFINET,possono facilmente essere integrati in Simatic Step 7 engineering tool. Semplice quindi configurarli attraverso Step 7 e monitorarli da pannelli HMI. EDS-405A con fast booting, Turbo Ring e Turbo Chain fast-recovery technology, possono ottimizzare funzionamento delle reti PROFINET.Supportano anche funzioni di gestione quali IGMP snooping, IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, QoS, port mirroring, SNMP, bandwidth management, e allarme tramite email allarme
