Menu Services / MODBUS in RUT955

Buongiorno,
il menu indicato permette di abilitare la funzionalità di modbus slave sul router della Teltonika RUT955 .
Una volta abilitato, il router mette a disposizione una serie di registri modbus per accedere a delle informazioni del router e comandarne il funzionamento.
I registri, in area Holding Register, sono i seguenti

• System uptime 32 bit unsigned integer
• GSM signal strength (dBm) 32 bit integer
• System temperature in 0.1 degrees Celsius 32 bit integer
• System hostname Text
• GSM operator name Text
• Router serial number Text
• Router MAC address Text
• Router name Text
• Current SIM card Text
• Network registration Text
• Network type Text
• Digital input 1 32 bit integer
• Digital input 2 32 bit integer
• Current WAN IP address 32 bit unsigned integer
• Analog input 32 bit integer
• Digital output 1 (on/off) Change the state of the digital output number 1
• Digital output 2 (on/off) Change the state of the digital output number 2
• Switch WiFi (on/off) Allows to switch WiFi on or off
• Switch mobile data connection (on/off) Turns on or off mobile data connection
• Switch SIM card (SIM1, SIM2, SIM1->SIM2 and SIM2->SIM1) Allows to change SIM card in use, 3 possible options are supported
• Change APN Allows to change APN
• Reboot Reboots a router

Dear customer,

you can use whatever Modbus TCP client you want.
First of all you have to enable ModbusTCP web service from Services / Modbus menu.
After that you have to configure modbus client to connect to router LAN IP on TCP port you define on previous menu (default 502).
Addresses to be read are on Holding Register area (Read function code FC3) starting from 1.

Please try to read just 2 words per time to be sure it is not a problem related to a too big read.
