The LDALI-MS2 LOYTEC multi-sensor performs presence detection and measures the lux level. It seamlessly integrates into the L-DALI product line of lighting controllers and LROC-40x room automation controllers. The sensor uses an infrared presence detector, optimized for use in typical office environments, where even small movements of someone working at a desk must be detected across the entire detection area. The presence detection zone diameter of 10.8 m with a mounting height of 3 m is ideal for covering a typical office room or an area in an open office space.
With the built-in infrared receiver, the lights, blinds, and HVAC system of the room can be controlled via the optional L-RC1 IR remote control. In addition to presence and lux sensors, LDALI-MS2 is equipped with integrated temperature and humidity sensors. In room automation applications. On the back of the sensor there is a connector for three digital inputs, allowing conventional switches and buttons, window contacts, etc. to be connected. This function not only saves on additional hardware but also significantly reduces wiring costs as inputs can be wired within the room and there is no longer a need to run cables to I/O modules in the electrical panel.
LDALI-MS2 features three mounting options: it can be flush-mounted in standard flush-mount boxes, snap-mounted into suspended ceilings, and wall-mounted with the supplied surface-mount box.
Communication and power are handled via the DALI bus. LDALI-MS2 supports the DALI-2 protocol as defined in the IEC 62386 2014 standard and can be integrated into DALI-2 systems from other suppliers.
