S117P1 is a 3-in-1 multi-function opto-isolated tool: serial converter, signal isolator, and programming kit. It can perform asynchronous RS232/RS485/TTL conversion using a USB port on a PC. The interface is detected by the operating system as a standard serial port, allowing direct use of the product via any software capable of communicating with standard ports (COM1, COM2, etc.).

This portable device is designed with a wide operating temperature range and an opto-isolated circuit useful for avoiding most electrical noise problems between serial ports and the PC's USB port; a crucial feature when the connected equipment is far from your workstation. Particularly robust and reliable, S117P1 also offers the possibility of powering a SENECA module or another manufacturer's module, providing 12V @ 100mA as output power.
