Description

netTAP 100 is the protocol converter for sophisticated conversions and supports two conversion ports from Real-Time Ethernet to serial, from Fieldbus to Fieldbus, from Real-Time Ethernet to Fieldbus, and from Real-Time Ethernet to Ethernet. It supports slave and master functionalities in every combination. There are no restrictions on master functionality when licensed as a master.

A memory card slot allows the user to save firmware and configuration data on a removable card. In case of a field failure, simply moving the memory card from the old netTAP 100 to a spare unit will bring the plant back online in seconds.

netTAP 100 includes netSCRIPT for creating your own serial protocols with the Lua scripting language. A complete development environment is included in the delivery. It allows for convenient and rapid programming of any proprietary serial protocol and pre-processing of I/O data during conversion to the other field protocol.
