However,

software you are using is very very old.
Software you have to use is this one:  shop.marcomweb.it/it/supporto/it-download/category/53-resi.html
Latest gateway manual is: www.resi.cc/prestashop/en/index.php?cont...ent&id_attachment=44

Best regards

OK, just changed the converter. Received ""Configuration successful"", you can see it from the screenshot but actually the settings were not accepted. When I set back FD=OFF and try to reconnect to the module this time with address=1 it is not possible. I can connect only when ID is set to 255. I also checked the register 1 (modbus address) and the value is 0?! This probably means that configuration is send but cannot activate.

Just tried all your recommendations but no positive result from that:
* FD=ON;
* PC is running on batteries - configuration starts but interrupted in the middle;
* 120Ohm resistor between A and B - configuration starts but interrupted in the middle;

What else can we do?

Dear Ivanov,

this problem is often related to RS485 converter.
Try to disconnect power supply from your PC during module configuration.
If this doesn't help, please put a 120Ohm resistance on RS485 bus connected between A and B terminals.

A suggestion: during configuration keep FD=ON to have moduel with address 255 fixed.

Dear support,

Unfortunately we have a problem with RESI-DMX-MODBUS converter from your web shop.

The device cannot be configured at all. We tried with the configuration software from your CD but no configuration is accepted. We can establish connection to the device, then we change the MB address, baudrate and startup configuration but when we try to write configuration we receive error in 9 from 10 tries in the middle of uploading process. (messge: ""couldn't write configuration to converter"").

Even when the upload is successful the module remains with old address, e.g. no new settings have been accepted.

We also tried with a different Modbus master simulator. We can also connect to the module, then we can read all the holding registers and we see that all values are zeroes. Even the software version of the product is 0.0.0! Also module rejects all the write commands we send.

DIP switches of the module are set as follows: BR-OFF/OFF; IF-ON; FD-OFF.
Please , we need your urgent support because this device is critical in time for one of our projects!
