Description
Enhance your Raspberry Pi-based network solution with the ability to be powered directly through the gateway's Ethernet port. No separate power supply is needed! This feature is particularly suitable for deployments using wired network connectivity.
The PoE HAT is an add-on board with a Raspberry PI form factor that can be connected directly to a Raspberry PI. The PoE HAT allows the Raspberry Pi to be powered via a standard CAT 5 Ethernet cable.
The PoE HAT is designed to be compatible with IEEE 802.3af / with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), it is compatible with both PoE Mode A and Mode B. The PoE HAT's signature and control circuit provide the PoE AT compatibility signature and power classification required by Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) before applying up to 30W of power to the port. The PoE HAT is compatible with equipment from Class 0 to Class 4. The high-efficiency DC / DC converter operates over a wide range of input voltages and provides a regulated low ripple and low noise output. The DC / DC converter also has built-in overload and short circuit protection.
