MikroTik is a Latvian company founded in 1995 with the objective to develop routers and wireless systems for ISP. 
Today provides hardware and software for Internet connectivity in most countries of the world. The experience gained by MikroTik in the use of standard hardware and complete routing systems has enabled the creation, in 1997, of the RouterOS system software, which enjoys stability, controls and high flexibility for all types of interfaces and routing data. 
ln 2002 MikroTik decides to independently produce also the hardware, giving view to the brand RouterBOARD.

The devices can be configured from web interface, from Winbox software for Windows XP/7/8 32bit and 64bit operatng systems, from Telnet or SSH.
