The Marcom S7.Net to Modbus software manages the protocol conversion between Siemens S7 Protocol and Modbus RTU/TCP.
The software allows, without the purchase of another hardware, to convert in a simple and instant mode the Modbus protocol, from TCP or RTU version to the Siemens S7 protocol and the reverse.
The product acts as a gateway and allows to put in communication between their equipment with the communication systems of different physical levels.
It also allows you to save S7 data on a database (Access, MsSQL, MySQL, SQlite).
All without the need to purchase hardware but using any PC present on location.

Marcom S7.Net to Modbus allows you to quickly access to process data in the S7-200 (via CP-243), S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200, S7-1500 and LOGO, using a single server. The variables are constantly addressed using the STEP7 semantics of Siemens environments.
It can access simultaneously to an  unlimited number of controllers.

For communication with Marcom S7.Net to Modbus is not necessary to change the software. Access to the controllers can be made directly via Ethernet.

An algorithm of intelligent handling of requests for reading and writing helps to optimize the throughput of data in an extremely efficient: the reading block allows a refresh data without equal.

The configuration is done through a convenient graphical interface, either manually or through a tool for the import of symbolic names from STEP7 projects, Excel file or .db file exported from TIA Portal. Existing configurations can be exported to Excel for example by visualization systems or process control in order to be easily uploaded to Marcom S7.Net to Modbus.

It works transparently on an MPI port using the following gateways: NL50MPI Hilscher, NETLink PRO from Helmholz, NETLink PRO from Softing.
